Considering who the Green Bay Packers have lost this offseason, it’s safe to say they need some players who can step in immediately and make a difference in their rookie season.

That’s where the following five rookies come in. These guys should be able to step up right away and have a positive impact while playing a huge role for the Packers in 2022. So, without further ado, let’s check out five immediate playmakers who the Packers should target in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Green Bay Packers should target these five players in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft because they can make an immediate difference.

Immediate playmakers for Packers in first round of Draft: Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

Treylon Burks wouldn’t add the speed element Green Bay desperately needs, but he is a playmaker through and through. He’s someone who can line up in the slot as a jumbo receiver or move to the outside and still win one-on-one battles. He’s also terrific after the catch which Matt LaFleur loves. He’d be a solid selection at the end of the first.

Immediate playmakers for Packers in first round of Draft: Jordan Davis, IDL, Georgia

The Packers need to add a playmaker up front as well, considering they’ve lacked capable players next to Kenny Clark on the defensive line for years now. Jordan Davis is a massive human being with elite athleticism as well. He’d make an immediate impact in both phases of the defensive game and make life easier on all his teammates.

Immediate playmakers for Packers in first round of Draft: Lewis Cine, S, Georgia

Despite having Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage at safety, it’s not crazy to envision a scenario where the Packers draft a safety with one of their first-round picks. Lewis Cine is versatile and could share the field with the two incumbents while also providing the Packers with a cheaper long-term option at the position. A Cine selection would prove they’re all in on defense this season.

Immediate playmakers for Packers in first round of Draft: Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State

Chris Olave has the elite speed the Packers desperately need on offense and would immediately become their best pass-catcher. He’s a smooth route runner with an advanced feel for the game–two traits that should help him develop immediate rapport with Aaron Rodgers. Olave would be a homerun selection.

Immediate playmakers for Packers in first round of Draft: Jalen Pitre, DB, Baylor

I’m low-key crushing on a Packers and Jalen Pitre pairing this draft season. Pitre can step in immediately as the slot corner while also playing in various parts of their defense at either cornerback or safety. He can gel with their current personnel and play a long-time role at safety if Green Bay moves on from one of Savage or Amos. Think Antoine Winfield Jr. That’s exactly the difference-maker they need in their secondary.
