The Green Bay Packers desperately need to hit home runs with the two first-round picks they currently hold in the 2022 NFL Draft if they want to be in contention for the Super Bowl in 2022.

They’ve lost a lot of talent so far including Davante Adams, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Billy Turner, and Za’Darius Smith. After falling painfully short of a Super Bowl appearance over the last three years, it’s unclear what will get them over the hump. Let’s check out four scenarios that could play out to help them keep their championship window open.

If the Green Bay Packers want to add some difference-makers in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, here are four dream scenarios for them.

Dream scenario for Packers in 2022 NFL Draft: Chris Olave, WR, OSU

Packers’ fans have had their eyes on Chris Olave for some time and it would be amazing if he fell to them in the first round of the draft. There’s some speculation that he’ll go earlier and that Green Bay would have to trade up to grab him–he’s ranked 17th on The Athletic’s Big Board and 21st on PFF’s.

In this dream scenario, however, he falls to them a pick no. 22 and the Packers nab him. He’s a great route-runner and has very good speed to stretch defenses as well. His fit with other slot players already on the Packers roster such as Randall Cobb and Amari Rodger is unclear, but he’d instantly be the most talented Green Bay wide receiver on the team. This would be a great way to start the 2022 NFL Draft.
