The Green Bay Packers are getting closer and closer to the 2022 NFL Draft and are now just a couple of weeks away. You can bet your bottom dollar they are getting all of their affairs in order when it comes to putting the final touches on their Big Board.
In trying to do our best work to determine who the Packers may draft in the first round, this article ranks the most likely prospects Green Bay would draft if they were all still available (here’s the first edition). I took the rankings from PFF’s Big Board and The Athletic’s Beast by Dane Brugler and combined the rankings together.
Since the Packers aren’t on the clock until pick 22, however, the following players have been eliminated from contention as they averaged a pick in the top 10 and will assuredly be gone by pick 22. Let’s call them the untouchables:
- Aidan Hutchinson, ED, Michigan
- Ikem Ekwonu, OT, North Carolina State
- Evan Neal, OT, Alabama
- Travon Walker, ED, Georgia
- Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnatti
- Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame
- Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi
- Kayvon Thibodeaux, ED, Oregon
Next, I removed the following players because they play a position Green Bay most likely won’t target in the first round:
- Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU
- Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington
- Devin Loyd, LB, Utah
- Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia
- Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa
- Sam Howell, QB, UNC
- Malik Willis, QB, Liberty
- Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson
- Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida
- Kenny Picket, QB, Pittsburgh
That leaves us with the following players, ranked in descending order based on the composite rankings between the two site:
