Green Bay Packers Trade with Houston for pick 13

Packers receive: picks 13 and 183

Packers trade away: picks 22 and 59

Quick Thought: In these next few scenarios, the Packers feel the urgency to get their guy — likely a receiver — and unlike in 2020 when they missed out on Justin Jefferson and Brandon Aiyuk, Gutekunst makes sure that doesn’t happen again. A non-receiver who I could see Green Bay moving up for is edge rusher George Karlaftis.

Trade with Baltimore for pick 14

Packers receive: picks 14 and 139

Packers trade away: picks 22 and 59

Quick Thought: Philadelphia and New Orleans are both teams who could be looking to add to their receiver rooms, especially with multiple first-round picks each. A few of the top receivers could be off the board by now, and if Green Bay doesn’t want to miss out again, they’ll be aggressive.

Trade with Philadelphia for pick 15

Packers receive: pick 15

Packers trade away: picks 22, 92, and 132

Quick Thought: After the Saints completed a pre-draft trade with the Eagles, they are certainly a team who could be in play for a receiver. They hold the 16th pick and this allows the Packers to jump in front of them. Green Bay also is able to hold on to both second round picks in this scenario.

Trade with New Orleans for pick 16

Packers receive: pick 16

Packers trade away: picks 22, 92, and 171

Quick Thought: Admittedly, I’m not sure the Saints will be looking to move back, if anything, their trade with Philadelphia shows that they are looking to potentially move up. But you never know. Green Bay may have to part with their third round pick in this scenario, but given their recent history, that may not be a bad thing.

Trade with Chargers for pick 17

Packers receive: pick 17

Packers trade away: picks 22 and 92

Quick Thought: There are several teams who are selecting before the Green Bay Packers who could also be in the market for one of the top receivers in this draft. There is a real possibility that we start to see a run with receivers coming off the board, forcing the Packers to move up.
