1 trade, 1 free agent, and 1 draft pick to solve Packers’ wide receiver issues
1 free agent signing to solve Packers’ wide receiver issue: Will Fuller V
Signing Will Fuller would be a true high-risk, high-reward proposition for the Packers.
On one hand, Fuller is injury prone and has missed a ton of time throughout his NFL career. He only played in two games in 2021 due to a hand injury and has never played a full season in six years. In fact, the closest he’s come is 14 games in his rookie campaign.
When he is available, however, he’s dynamic and explosive. His best season came in 2020 when he caught 53 receptions for 879 yards and eight touchdowns–all career-highs. He would also give Green Bay the deep threat they’re missing in their offense. Fuller has elite speed and can blow the top off a defense at any point. If he’s able to stay on the field, it’s an absolute steal.
With Fuller and Allen Lazard on the outside, and Cooks, Randall Cobb and Amari Rodgers rotating in the slot, the Packers’ wide receiver position is quickly shaping up nicely.
