Cheap free agents Packers should sign before the draft: Sammy Watkins, WR

The Packers have lost a ton of talent at wide receiver with Davante Adams being traded away and Marquez Valdes-Scantling signing elsewhere in free agency. To make matters worse, they have yet to add anyone at the position to make up for their losses.

Sammy Watkins could provide at least a little bit of insurance and give Green Bay a solid pass-catcher on their roster. He hauled in just 27 receptions for 394 yards and one touchdown in 2021–all career-lows–but having a better passing quarterback than Lamar Jackson will help. His value has never been lower and Green Bay could sign him for less than $5 million in 2022.
