The Green Bay Packers have lost a lot of talent in free agency and via trade and there’s no replacing it at this point. However, they can add some depth to key positions ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Green Bay has just enough money remaining to sign their draft class, but can easily create some more cap space with some key moves. If they decide to do so, these three players could be had on the cheap to bolster the bottom of the depth chart at key positions.

If the Green Bay Packers want to make some cheap additions to their roster, they should look at signing these three free agents before the 2022 NFL Draft.

Cheap free agents Packers should sign before the draft: Kyle Rudolph, TE

As of now, the Packers’ depth chart at tight end includes Robert Tonyan (recovering from ACL), Marcedes Lewis (will be 38-years-old before the season begins), and the unproven trio of Josiah Deguara, Dominique Dafney and Tyler Davis.

Kyle Rudolph is just a shell of his former self, but he could still offer some helpful skills to Green Bay. He’s a big body at 6-foot-6 and a solid red-zone target for a team who had issues in that part of the field a year ago and just lost their offensive coordinator. He’s also a solid blocker for his position, something that’s very important to Matt LaFleur. He won’t move the needle, but does give Green Bay a proven option at the position with all the unknowns.
