Packers draft Big Board: 2: Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama

Jameson Williams would likely be ranked a lot higher and in the first list of players who will likely be gone in the top 10 if he didn’t tear his ACL in the National Championship game. That injury means he’ll probably miss a significant portion of the season and presents a small risk he never returns to the elite explosiveness he showed off in college. However, if the Packers are willing to be patient with him, he could become their next great receiver.

Packers draft Big Board: 1: Travon Walker, ED, Georgia

The Packers have bigger needs than trading up for an elite edge rusher, but these two players fall just outside of the top 10 and are clearly two of the best players remaining in the draft.

At 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds, Travon Walker is a force to be reckoned with. He doesn’t have the counting stats (similar to Gary), but was part of an elite Georgia defense that dominated their opponents. He is a difference-maker from Day 1 and could quickly become a replacement for Preston Smith or even Rashan Gary.
