The Green Bay Packers‘ 2022 NFL Draft promises to be “very exciting” with the extra first and second-round picks the team added to their arsenal earlier this offseason. Brian Gutekunst and company have already proven to be unpredictable, especially in the first round, so we’re running through multiple scenarios ahead of this year’s draft.

Last week, we took a look at a Packers’ draft that saw them load up on the offensive side of the ball. This week, we focus on defense and go all-in on a defensive-heavy team that can carry Green Bay in 2022.

We’ll start with the third-round selection and work our way backward from there. Enjoy!

Here’s a three-round 2022 NFL Draft scenario for the Green Bay Packers if they are truly going all-in on defense this season.

Packers mock draft: Round 3, pick 92: JoJo Domann, LB, Nebraska

Despite the Packers re-signing De’Vondre Campbell, they could still use some depth and playmakers at the position. Krys Barnes is a solid backup, but JoJo Domann could be a more explosive and versatile option.

He’s listed as a linebacker, but played a lot of slot corner at Nebraska as well. He’s a good run defender which allows defenses to protect against both the pass and ground game when he’s on the field. That versatility could help him get on the field in nickel and dime packages and ensure the Packers still have guys who can step up in run support.
