Green Bay Packers 53rd Overall Pick

Perrion Winfrey, IDL, Oklahoma

Winfrey was the top JUCO recruit in 2020 and opted to attend the University of Oklahoma. It is there that he showed flashes of just how good he can be. While he needs to string together more consistent play, the potential is definitely there. That is why I chose Winfrey at 53.

He has the upside to become a force on the defensive line, and the Packers provide him an opportunity to learn from one of the best in the game in Kenny Clark.

At the NFL Combine, Winfrey ran a 4.89-second 40-yard dash, which ranked third amongst all defensive tackles. Combine that with his massive frame, and you have quite the imposing defensive linemen. Winfrey has the potential and skill set to become a force in the league, and I believe he is worth the risk in the 2nd round.

Green Bay Packers 59th Overall Pick

Daniel Faalele, OT, Minnesota

This pick is based entirely on need and potential. Similar to the Winfrey pick earlier, Faalele has all the desirable physical attributes you look for in a starting offensive tackle. He just has to put them all together and become the player he can be.

The Packers have relatively weak offensive line depth, which gives an opportunity for Faalele to get valuable experience in practice, and perhaps in-game. He will need some time to develop, but with the right coaching and scheme fit, he can become a viable offensive tackle in the NFL.
