Under the radar free agents Packers should target: DeSean Jackson, WR

The Packers need to do something, anything, to address their wide receiver position before the start of the 2022 season. After trading Davante Adams and letting Marquez Valdes-Scantling walk in free agency, they’re left with a putrid depth chart that includes Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb and Amari Rodgers at the top.

Fortunately, they have plenty of time and resources to add some players to the wide receiver room and could start in free agency. It’s unlikely Green Bay signs one of the better players still available, as they all have their warts and cost too much money.

Someone like DeSean Jackson could be had for cheap and at least give Green Bay options on offense. Jackson would immediately become their best deep threat and someone who defenses have to respect. He’s not nearly as explosive at this point in his career, but Green Bay needs something, anything, to add to their offense.
