Green Bay Packers Trade Target: DeVante Parker – Miami Dolphins

With the Miami Dolphins already having Jaylen Waddle and now recently acquiring Tyreek Hill, perhaps they’ll be more willing to explore trade options for DeVante Parker, who was their first-round selection back in 2015.

Parker, who is still just 29-years-old, would line up on the boundary and has shown in the past that he can be the go-to option within an offense if needed. His most productive season came in 2019 when he recorded 1,202 yards at 16.7 yards per catch while catching 61% of his 119 targets.

In 2020, he was targeted 100 times and logged 793 yards, and even though he played in only 10 games this past season, Parker still had 73 targets along with 515 yards and 12.9 yards per catch. It’s also worth noting that Parker would be joining a Packers team with a much more stable quarterback situation, which of course, could unlock some production.

Parker still has two years left on his current deal but comes with reasonable cap hits for the Packers to take on. Green Bay would inherit cap hits in 2022 and 2023 in the $6-$7 million range. Again, quite reasonable for a player who would be expected to play a big role in this offense. The Packers would also have the option to restructure his deal and lower his 2022 cap hit if needed.
