Green Bay Packers Pick 92: Kingsley Enagbare, EDGE, South Carolina

Similar to cornerback, the Green Bay Packers do have a very strong top of the depth chart at edge rusher with Rashan Gary and Preston Smith. However, edge rusher is one of the most important positions in football, it’s also a heavily rotated one, and when neither Smith nor Gary were on the field in 2021, there was a noticeable lack of impact plays from the third and fourth edge rushers on the roster–making this a position that the Packers should look to upgrade.

Enagbare would record 48 pressures and 11 sacks during the 2019 and 2020 seasons but had his most productive year in 2021 after seeing his snap count increase somewhat significantly. Enagbare would log 45 pressures this past season along with four sacks, and he was PFF’s third-highest graded pass-rushing edge rusher.

One area where he will really have to improve is against the run, but Enagbare would be stepping into an ideal situation where he can be a rotational player behind Smith and Gary as he refines his game. But early on, he could carve out a role on this Packers defense in obvious passing situations.
