Wide receivers Packers need to target in first round of 2022 NFL Draft: Drake London

PFF has USC’s Drake London as their top wide receiver on the board at No. 11 overall. If the Packers were to take London (or Wilson and Williams) they’ll have to trade up using the plethora of draft picks they currently hold.

London is also coming off a season-ended injury, although the broken ankle he suffered came after eight games instead of in the last collegiate football game of the season. At 6-foot-5, he isn’t just a big body out there, but he has a rare ability to high-point the ball and make difficult, contested catches in traffic thanks to his true basketball background.

He will also pique the Packers’ interest because he’s a good run-blocker. As odd as that may sound, it’s an alluring factor for a team who just used a second-round tender on Allen Lazard due, in part, to his elite blocking ability. The Packers are going to have to focus more on the run this season and London could help them do that from the receiver position as well.
