Free agent options for Green Bay Packers at WR

AJ Green

No, this isn’t the same AJ Green from several years ago, but he was still a productive player with Arizona in 2021. Green was targeted 92 times while recording 848 receiving yards at 15.7 yards per catch. He has played in at least 16 games in three of the last four seasons. Another strong veteran option who would provide needed stability to this Packers receiver room.

Odell Beckham Jr.

If healthy, Odell Beckham Jr. would make the most sense out of any player that is still available. As we saw with Los Angeles last season, he can still be a high-impact player, not to mention that the Packers did have interest in signing him just last year. However, Beckham would suffer an ACL injury in the Super Bowl, and we do not know how much of the 2022 season he is going to miss.

For now, it makes sense to look elsewhere, but if he’s somehow still available over the summer and Green Bay has a better idea of when he may be able to play, then it may be worth taking a closer look.

Keelan Cole

Keelan Cole won’t be an eye-popping signing, but he spent the 2021 season with the New York Jets, so his transition to LaFleur’s offense should be relatively seamless, and he also brings special teams ability as a return man–something else this Green Bay Packers team needs.

In 2020 with Jacksonville, Cole posted 642 yards at 11.7 yards per catch. With the Jets last year, he totaled 449 receiving yards at 16.0 yards per reception. He can line up both in the slot and out wide.
