Needs Packers must address in 2022 NFL Draft: Wide Receiver

The Packers absolutely need to nab a wide receiver in the first round with one of their picks, if not with both of them. Their depth chart is awful with Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb and Amari Rodgers highlighting the position.

Lazard is a nice blocker and decent third or fourth receiver, but he’s nowhere near the caliber of player who should be a WR1 or WR2. Cobb is on the backend of his career and hasn’t been a consistent threat since 2015. And Rodgers looked lost and out of place as a rookie in 2022.

The Packers still have time to address the position via free agency or a trade, but will still need to grab a receiver in the first round regardless of what they do. This should be an exciting draft considering all the capital the Packers currently have.
