The Green Bay Packers slowly keep peeling away the layers of the onion and revealing what their offseason plans and remaining needs are. There’s still a lot of time between now and the 2022 NFL Draft, but we can still peek at what their top needs are.

Thanks to the Davante Adams’ trade, Green Bay currently holds the 22nd and 28th selections in the first round of the draft. We’ll see if general manager Brian Gutekunst decides to hang onto both of them, but, for now, let’s check out their three biggest needs in that first round.

The Green Bay Packers need to take a long, hard look at addressing any of these three needs in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Needs Packers must address in 2022 NFL Draft: Defensive Line

This need was somewhat subdued by the recent signing of defensive lineman Jarran Reed. Reed is a big body who can eat up space and play terrific in the run game. He also has a history of getting after the pass rusher and the Packers are hoping he can return to his 2018 form when he put up 10.5 sacks.

Even with his addition, the Packers need some more talent upfront. Dean Lowry played great over the second half of last year, but it’s risky to count on him for a full season. Adding a talented player like Jordan Davis in the first round would give Green Bay a huge boost in all facets of the game.
