Free agents who can push Packers’ defense over the top: Akiem Hicks

Packers fans are all too familiar with Akiem Hicks, as he wreaked havoc on the Chicago Bears for the last six years. Hicks has had his moments getting after the quarterback–accumulating at least 3.5 sacks in five of his six years in Chicago–and brings some juice in that department.

What he’s most known for, however, is his ability to stop the run. He can line up at nose tackle over the center or over either guard and be extremely effective. He’s a massive dude who does a great job of eating up space and blockers, allowing the inside linebackers behind him to thrive. Hicks would have a positive impact on Clark and De’Vondre Campbell if he were to find his way to Green Bay.
