Free agents who can push Packers’ defense over the top: Calais Campbell

In my opinion, Calais Campbell is both the best defensive lineman remaining, the most versatile, and the best fit for the Packers. Unfortunately, he’s also one of the oldest.

At 35-years-old, his best days are clearly behind him, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a lot left in the tank. He’s coming off the fewest sacks of his career, but would benefit greatly from playing alongside pass-rushers such as Kenny Clark, Preston Smith and Rashan Gary. He can slide all over the defensive line and play multiple positions at a high level. That type of flexibility is hard to match and something defensive coordinator Joe Barry could benefit greatly from.
