Explosive wide receiver for Packers to target in draft: Calvin Austin III, Memphis

It might be tricky to convince general manager Brian Gutekunst and the front office to select Calvin Austin, but it could pay off in the long run. Austin–standing 5-foot-8–is more of a gadget player than a true receiver. Still, he had over 1,000 yards receiving in each of his last two seasons at Memphis.

If the Packers were going to use a third-round pick on Austin, he would directly compete with last year’s third-round pick Amari Rodgers. Austin can run routes out of the slot, motion in the backfield, and return punts and kicks. Making this selection would make it very difficult for Rodgers to make the 2022 roster.
