We are going to see a different version of the Green Bay Packers offense in 2022

At its roots, it’s still going to be the same offensive system that Matt LaFleur has ran during his first three years as head coach, and Aaron Rodgers is still going to be under center, but things are certainly going to be different as well.

In all likelihood, the ball is going to be spread around more in the passing game without Adams to lean on. In fact, this could lead to us seeing a more true version of what the LaFleur offense is meant to be. And while there is certainly no replacing Adams, defenses could still struggle as they try to navigate where Rodgers is going with the football.

We may also see Green Bay rely a bit more on their run game–after all, they do have what many would consider the best running back duo in football. Without Adams getting 10 or so touches each week, LaFleur will want to make sure he is still putting the ball in the hands of his playmakers, which right now are Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon.

It’s also important to point out that while the offense is undergoing changes, the defensive side of the ball is largely going to be intact–especially if the Packers are able to re-sign Rasul Douglas, as the recent reports suggest.

Things will be different, but remember, different doesn’t necessarily mean bad either. It’s just different. And for what it’s worth, the Green Bay Packers are 7-0 during the LaFleur era when Adams has missed time.
