4 Big Things from the Green Bay Packers Trading Davante Adams

Green Bay Packers have the ability to round out the roster
With an additional $20 million in cap space and four picks in the top-60 and five within the top-100, the Green Bay Packers now have the opportunity to better round out this roster.
With Adams’ contract on the books, whether that be the franchise tag or even if the two agreed to a long-term deal, the Packers were going to be limited in what they could do this offseason when it comes to addressing other positional needs. But now, they have more freedom.
This is already a well-put-together roster, but it is also a bit of a top-heavy one in terms of allocated cap space. And with that, there are still holes to fill. Finding a third cornerback currently remains a big need, as does adding depth at both edge rusher and safety.
Offensive tackle depth has to be addressed, and as already discussed, with or without Adams, receiver was a need. Also, the team needs to find a true pass-catching tight end as well.
Now, of course, the Packers still won’t be able to address every one of those needs, but they can now check off a lot more of them than what they could prior to this trade happening.
