Final Prediction: The Green Bay Packers re-sign Equanimeous St. Brown

I really did go back and forth on this one, and there’s a reason why this particular article was one of the last ones on my list–I couldn’t decide what I think Green Bay is going to do.

But ultimately, I believe there are more reasons why re-signing St. Brown makes sense than letting him walk–even if the offensive production hasn’t necessarily been there.

Now, keep in mind, this doesn’t mean that he’s going to make the final 53-man roster. However, Green Bay still has a long ways to go towards filling their 90-man roster prior to training camp.

So if they have the opportunity to bring back St. Brown, who was a bright spot on special teams, has experience in the offense, and can play an albeit limited but defined role, that certainly makes sense.

Also, as previously mentioned, he has the trust of Rodgers, which does matter in all of this, and his contract will be relatively inexpensive as well.

This certainly isn’t a signing that will move the needle, in fact, I’m sure many will question it, but on the back-end of the roster, teams want to have as much competition as possible, and at the bare minimum, St. Brown can provide that–and hopefully more.
