Packers who need salary cap clarity for 2022 offseason: Randall Cobb

Packers who need salary cap clarity for 2022 offseason: Marcedes Lewis

Packers who need salary cap clarity for 2022 offseason: Billy Turner

Randall Cobb was essentially acquired by Aaron Rodgers last summer and, although he had his moments, underperformed given the amount of money he’s being paid. Cobb’s 2022 cap hit sits at $9.531 million which is crazy high for a dude with just 28 receptions last year. The Packers will likely try to restructure his deal or ask him to take a pay cut to keep Rodgers happy.

Marcedes Lewis and Billy Turner will probably be trickier. Green Bay can’t afford to keep cutting talented players, especially at an important position such as right tackle. It’s likely the Packers will try to restructure Turner, saving up to $3.5 million. As for Lewis, he might be on his way out given the $2.445 million the team can save by cutting him.
