3 potential Davante Adams’ replacement for Packers
The Green Bay Packers are doing their darndest to not only get under the salary cap by the start of the new league year, but also to clear enough room to re-sign Davante Adams.
Adams put up a monster 2021 campaign when he hauled in 123 receptions for 1553 yards and 11 touchdowns in 16 games. Because of his rise to stardom, he’s rightfully looking to get paid like the best wide receiver in the NFL and doesn’t appear willing to settle for less.
That puts Green Bay in a difficult position considering their financial situation. Packers’ fans must prepare for the possibility that Adams walks in free agency, creating a massive hole at wide receiver. Although there’s no replacing his production, here are three potential options Green Bay has.
It’s a very real possibility that the Green Bay Packers lose Davante Adams to free agency this offseason and here are three potential replacements.
Potential Davante Adam’s replacement for Packers: Treylon Burks
The Packers basically have their entire wide receiver unit entering free agency besides Randall Cobb (who may get cut) and Amari Rodgers (who underwhelmed as a rookie). That could lead them to finally drafting a receiver in the first round, and Treylon Burks of Arkansas would be a great fit. Burks can contribute right away and can win on short, intermediate, and long routes. Green Bay would need the draft to fall just right to select Burks, but he’d be a home run hit at the end of the first round.
