Immediate moves for Packers: Extend Jaire Alexander

This is the easiest move of them all. Jaire Alexander kept getting better and better every single season until an injury derailed in 2021 campaign. However, he should be completely healthy in time to compete in all the offseason activities and get himself in elite shape once again.

Alexander is the type of shut down corner who can cover anybody anywhere. That’s exactly what Green Bay needs in the pass-happy nature of today’s NFL. The Packers can save $9.8 million by agreeing to a contract extension with their stud corner–a win-win for both parties. And for those of you keeping count at home, that’s either $40.6 million (cutting Cobb) or $37.2 million (pay cut for Cobb) the Packers can save with these four moves.
