Most likely Packers to be cut: Dean Lowry

Dean Lowry’s arrow is pointing straight up after his resurgent second half of the 2021 season. He was active against the run by closing running lanes and allowing the linebackers behind him to step up and make plays. He also provided a little bit of a pass rush boost and was playing some of the best football of his career.

Green Bay has struggled to put together an adequate defensive line outside of Kenny Clark, and Lowry’s historic struggles have been a big reason why. It’s unfortunate they’re likely to move on from him after this strong stretch. However, with younger and cheaper guys such as Jack Heflin and TJ Slaton on the roster, Green Bay will likely cut Lowry and save $4 million.
