Players Packers can extend: Randall Cobb

Salary Cap Savings: $5.4 million

This might be the best route for Green Bay to go if they want to save face with Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers helped acquire Randall Cobb via trade late last summer and it would be a big hit to the relationship the Packers have worked to mend if they were to cut him (a deal that would save the team $6.7 million).

Cobb isn’t worth the $9.5 million his cap hit is taking up in 2022 and Green Bay will clearly do something with his spot. He’ll be just one part of a massive wide receiver change as the futures of Davante Adams, Allen Lazard, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Cobb are all up in the air.
