9 Big Things from the Green Bay Packers 2021 Season

Let’s give Brian Gutekunst and the Green Bay Packers front office credit
With everything that went down last offseason surrounding the Aaron Rodgers’ drama, GM Brian Gutekunst and the Green Bay Packers’ front office came under heavy fire.
However, regardless of how you feel about that specific situation, it’s time to give Gutekunst credit for the team he has put together.
There were the additions of De’Vondre Campbell and Rasul Douglas, who were legitimate game-changers for this Packers defense–not to mention that from a salary cap standpoint, their cost was very little.
On top of that, he would trade for Randall Cobb — with some encouragement, I’ll add — as well as Corey Bojorquez, and he also signed Whitney Mercilus midseason.
He was the key cog in constructing an incredibly deep offensive line unit, and as has already been discussed, the heavily criticized Rashan Gary selection has certainly panned out. Other Gutekunst draft picks include Jaire Alexander, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Elgton Jenkins, Jon Runyan, Royce Newman, AJ Dillon, Eric Stokes, and Darnell Savage, along with signing Adrian Amos, Preston Smith, and Billy Turner, among others.
You get the idea, although he’s more often criticized than praised, Gutekunst has put together an incredibly talented football team.
