Most important Packers returning from injury: David Bakhtiari

Yosh Nijman has played inspired football at left tackle, but there’s just no replacing the real deal. And David Bakhtiari is the real deal.

Before Bakhtiari tore his ACL in December of 2020, he was widely regarded as one of the best left tackles in the entire NFL (at least by Packers’ fans). He did play a few series in the Packers’ final regular season game, but came out early due to conditioning reasons.

He didn’t practice on Tuesday and was a limited participant on Wednesday which is a bit concerning. He’s struggled to come back at full health and his recovery has taken longer than many anticipated. Still, if he can return to the lineup, Green Bay will get a huge boost up front.
