Most important Packers returning from injury: Josh Myers

Josh Myers technically returned already, but he didn’t play the entire game. He’s been solid at center this season even if he’s experienced his fair share of rookie struggles. His work in pass-blocking and his communication have been two of his biggest strengths.

Perhaps, the most important aspect of getting Myers back means Lucas Patrick can slide over to right guard and kick Royce Newman out of the starting lineup. Newman has been okay as a rookie, but struggles mightily with stunts. And you can expect plenty of stunts upfront from the 49ers who love to free up their defensive linemen with different movements. That’s also where Myer’s great communication will come up big.
