Green Bay Packers Under the Radar Playoff Playmaker: Marcedes Lewis

There are four guys on the roster that have started all 17 games. Lewis is one of them and the only one on the offensive side of the ball. Lewis is synonymous with dependability in every facet of the game. His blocking from the tight end spot is top-notch, and he’s caught 82.1 percent of the passes Aaron Rodgers has thrown his way, the highest catch percentage of his career. He also doesn’t have a single drop on his record this year.

In terms of receptions, first downs, yards, and yards after the catch, this has been his best season with the Packers, even after flirting with retirement every offseason and coming back for yet another one-year contract.

The one thing he hasn’t done this year is score a touchdown after having three of them last season. I have to assume they’re just saving it for the playoffs in a big spot. You heard it here first folks, Marcedes Lewis is going to score a big red zone touchdown in the 2022 NFL Playoffs; mark it down.

After playing on a lot of bad Jaguars teams for most of his career, only making the playoffs with them in 2007 and 2017, and then the heartbreak of the last two playoff runs in Green Bay, it’s time for the Big Dog to get a ring and make a big contribution to that effort.
