While the Green Bay Packers patiently wait to see who their opponent is going to be in the Divisional Round, let’s take a look at three ways in which they are better than last year’s run.

As you know, Green Bay fell one game short of making it to the Super Bowl one year ago when they fell 26-31 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship game. As it goes when you get that deep into the playoffs, the Packers’ biggest weaknesses were exposed on the biggest stage.

Let’s take a look at three ways in which they are better prepared for their playoff run this time around.

The Green Bay Packers are better than last year’s team in these three ways as they prepare for a strong push in the playoffs.

Ways Packers are better than last year: Health of Offensive Line

The Packers lost David Bakhtiari right before the playoffs began last year and his absence was a huge reason why they lost in the NFC Championship game. Without the best left tackle in the NFL, Aaron Rodgers was sacked five times and harassed on a number of other dropbacks.

Bakhtiari just made his return in the season finale and will be good to go for the playoffs. His return plus Josh Myer’s and potentially Billy Turner’s means the Packers’ offensive line could be at nearly full health for a playoff push. Despite missing Elgton Jenkins, Bakhtiari’s return at the line’s most important position is extremely helpful for Green Bay’s chances.
