11 Packers who could’ve played final regular season game with Green Bay
Packers who could’ve played last regular-season game: Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers
These two guys deserve a category all of their own, as everyone wants to see them back in uniform next season and beyond.
Rodgers is still under contract for one more year, but he and the front office came to an agreement over the offseason that could contain language where he’s gone from Green Bay after this season. We hope that’s not the case as he’s on the verge of winning his second consecutive MVP and fourth overall. Rodgers has talked positively about the entire organization–even Brian Gutekunst–so there’s hope he’ll come back.
As for Adams, that outlook is bleaker. The Packers have used a lot of money to sign their big players in recent years and, barring something drastic and unforeseen, there might just not be enough for Adams. Adams rightfully wants to get paid like the best receiver in football, but the Packers don’t have that money to pull from the bucket.
