Most important Packers for Super Bowl Run: Jaire Alexander and Rasul Douglas

I included these two together, partly, because Jaire Alexander’s status is unknown at this point. There’s a good chance he’ll make his return, but his ability to tackle and stay on the field due to his shoulder injury is a big question mark.

Whether it be Alexander or Rasul Douglas who is tasked with covering the opposing team’s number one wide receiver, both guys will be asked to do a lot in the passing game. The Packers’ second and third cornerbacks were exposed in last year’s NFC Championship game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and they could be in a better spot this time around.

Alexander, Douglas, and rookie Eric Stokes have all shown an ability to hold their own this season. If the Packers have that trio available, it will be a huge upgrade over Kevin King and Chandon Sullivan from last year.
