Most important Packers for Super Bowl Run: Mason Crosby

After being very good for years, Mason Crosby has had his fair share of struggles this season. To be fair, he doesn’t deserve all the blame as the kicking operation has been a mess. That includes the kicker, the holder, the snapper and the protection upfront.

Crosby only made 73.5 percent of his field goals this year–the second-lowest mark of his season. The special teams’ woes as a whole have been well-documented as the kicking game has been at the center of it.

With the Packers’ red zone offense struggling mightily this season, Crosby has been relied upon a ton. His 34 field goal attempts this year was twice as many as last season and the most he’s attempted since 2018. The good news is he’s made 10 of his last 11 field goals as well as 26 of his 27 extra points in that span.
