What do we see from the Green Bay Packers offense with Jordan Love?

We don’t know when, but at some point on Sunday, Jordan Love is going to enter the game.

Against Kansas City, Love would struggle, completing 19 of 34 passes for 190 yards with a touchdown and an interception–not to mention that the Chiefs were sending constant blitzes his way.

By no means did Love play well, but as I wrote following the game, Matt LaFleur didn’t do him any favors either. Kansas City was constant with their blitzing, yet there were very few adjustments for that–whether it be extra protection or some quick passes.

There were also a lot of long-developing routes downfield, way too many plays from shotgun, while Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon should have had more carries. In short, for whatever reason, this was not the LaFleur offense that we’ve seen over the years.

"“Ultimately, it comes down to myself, making sure we have a better plan to handle those pressures. Certainly we did not do that tonight,” LaFleur said following the game via Packers Wire."

So this time around, I want to see Green Bay leaning on the run game and quick passing game. I want to see Love under center, utilizing play-action as well as pre-snap motion–all of the things that have helped make this offense successful.

An interesting stat following the Chiefs game from ESPN Stats & Info is that Love was 13 of 17 for 160 yards when he had time in the pocket. Let’s see what he can do when playing within the confines of the LaFleur offense.
