Packers who need to improve for Super Bowl run: Darnell Savage

Darnell Savage has quietly been having a disappointing season in 2021. The former first-round pick hasn’t quite lived up to his full potential, but has done enough to fly under the radar for the most part.

Playing alongside Adrian Amos has helped cover up his mistakes to a certain degree. Amos is one of the most underrated safeties and can do it all. However, Savage needs to pick up his game at this point.

Savage was exposed against Mark Andrews against the Baltimore Ravens and had absolutely no answer for him. He’ll likely be asked to cover some of the better tight ends in the NFL if the Packers see the likes of the 49ers, Buccaneers, or some of the others. He got hot at the end of last season so we know it’s in him. Now, let’s see him do it again.
