Bold predictions for Packers: Sign Aaron Rodgers to contract extension

When Aaron Rodgers and the Packers came to a conclusion about their offseason drama, a restructure of Rodgers’ contract and a promise to revisit a trade after this season was part of the deal. With a cap hit at $46 million, another clear way to create space is to restructure his deal and add more years to the end of it.

Rodgers has had nothing but great things to say about his teammates, coaches and fans all season long. He’s even begun to sing some praises of Gutekunst. He recently said he’ll revisit his future after the season and will make a quick decision.

Hopefully, that decision is to return to the Packers via a contract extension and remain the MVP-level quarterback we’ve seen from him these last two years. There’s no reason to go separate ways when this partnership is working for everybody.
