Packers who have chance at returning from injury: Za’Darius Smith

It’s been rough for Za’Darius Smith since the start of the 2021 campaign. He missed all of training camp with a back injury before trying to return for a Week 1 appearance. He only played limited snaps in that game against the New Orleans Saints, but it was enough to significantly re-injure his back.

Smith has been sidelined since Week 1 and there’s no clear timeline about when he’ll be able to return. Perhaps, it’s least likely he returns than anybody else on this list.

Without him, Green Bay has been fine as Preston Smith and Rashan Gary have stepped up to the plate. The duo has been playing very well and Gary is a rising star. Still, Za’Darius Smith’s return would be a welcomed one and would greatly improve the depth at a position that needs to keep its players fresh.
