3 bold predictions for a Davante Adams contract extension with Packers
Bold prediction for Davante Adams contract extension with Packers: 1. Spotrac’s Market Value
Spotrac didn’t make a prediction, per say, like PFF did, but they did share his market value for his next contract extension. They shared two separate numbers: a market value contract that comes out to 5 years and $132.98 million (an average salary of $26.6 million per year). That deal would make him the 16th-highest paid player in the NFL and the second-highest at his position.
They also shared a base calculated value which comes out at 3 years and $62.83 million with an average salary of $20.94 million per season. Some of the players they used to get to those numbers included Keenan Allen, Amari Cooper, Michael Thomas and Hopkins based on their age, contract status and statistical production.
It remains to be seen exactly what a deal between the two sides would look like, but you can bet your bottom dollar it’s going to cost the Packers a lot of money.
