How many mistakes will the Green Bay Packers special teams unit have?

Unfortunately, we are at the point where I’m not asking if the special teams unit will have any errors, but rather, how many will there be?

The Green Bay Packers come into Saturday’s game with the worst special teams unit in football, according to PFF, Football Outsiders, and probably every other metric out there as well. However, these last two games, in particular, have come with more mistakes than many of us can keep track of, although in a recent article, I did my best to list them all.

"“Over the last two games alone, we’ve seen a punt return for a touchdown, a fumbled kickoff out of bounds, a delay of game penalty, a running into the returner penalty, and a holding penalty. But wait, there’s more. Even as good as Corey Bojorquez has been, he shanked a punt. There have also been poor snaps, a missed onside kick recovery, and a kickoff out of bounds.”"

At this point, the Green Bay Packers special teams are who they are–there isn’t a magic solution to make them a top-15 unit in this league, or even a top-20, for that matter. But they have to find a way to cut down on mistakes, or it will absolutely cost them a game.

These improvements start with coaching, but ultimately, the players have to go out there and execute.
