Packers defeat Ravens: The grades

The offense scored 30 or more points for the fourth straight game and appears to be in complete control right now. They definitely let some opportunities for more points slip away so there’s definitely room for improvement. However, if they can get David Bakhtiari, Josh Myers and Billy Turner back in the next few weeks, that would be a huge boost for this group.

Offense: B+

The defense has been slipping the last four weeks and counting, giving up at least 28 points in four straight games. They played extremely soft coverages against the Ravens, giving up easy five to seven yard receptions on a consistent basis. They also lost contain a number of times on a quarterback clearly looking to get outside of the pocket. There’s still time to turn things around, but this might be the new old Packers’ defense.

Defense: D+

I’m not sure what else to say about their special teams that hasn’t already been said. When you begin talking about routine plays (such as fielding an onside kick, making a 29-yard-field goal, and fielding a punt) like they are positives, you know you’re in trouble. At this point, the Packers’ are lucky if this unit only makes one major mistake a game.
