It wasn’t as dominant as you would’ve liked, but the Green Bay Packers were able to hang on and defeat the resilient Baltimore Ravens 31-30 on Sunday afternoon.

The game was back-and-forth between the two teams and was one of the more exciting ones of the season. Baltimore led 7-0 and 14-7 before Green Bay was forced to tie the game up each time. The Packers then led 31-17 before the Ravens made a furious comeback in the fourth quarter that came up just short. Instead of kicking an extra point to tie the game with less than a minute left, they went for two and failed when an errant Tyler Hundley pass fell to the turf in the end zone.

In our version of the recap, let’s check out what was good for the Packers, what was bad and hand out grades for each of their three units.

After the Green Bay Packers barely hung on to beat the Baltimore Ravens, let’s check out the good, the bad, and hand out grades.

Packers defeat Ravens: The good: Kings of the North!, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Aaron Rodgers.

The Packers are King of the North after winning their third straight divisional title under head coach Matt LaFleur. It’s worth celebrating and worth acknowledging this is just the first step in the Packers’ journey to the Super Bowl. Despite the rest of the division struggling, Green Bay can still be happy they dominated once again.

The Packers’ passing offense was also in rhythm (minus two errant Rodgers’ throws that would’ve gone for a big gain and then a touchdown). Rodgers completed 23 of 31 passes for 268 yards and three touchdowns, strengthening his MVP resumé in the process.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling had one of his best games of the season as well, catching five passes for 98 yards and one touchdown. If Valdes-Scantling gets it going down the stretch, this offense is capable of taking it to a whole new level.
