Packers wild win over Bears: The good, bad and grades

Packers wild win over Bears: The grades:

The Packers’ offense was able to overcome a slow start in which they were looking to push the ball down the field far too often. Once they got into a rhythm and used their short passing game, they were much more effective. Dropping 45 points on any team is difficult and Green Bay was clicking on all cylinders in quarters two through four.

Offense: A+

The defense has come back down to earth the last few weeks. They’ve had a propensity for giving up big plays that continued against Chicago when they allowed a 46-yard touchdown pass to Jakeem Grant and a 54-yard touchdown pass to Damiere Byrd in the second quarter. Douglas’s pick-six plus Preston Smith’s strip-sack help bring the grade up a bit. Still, the Packers’ defense has some work to do.

Defense: C

The special teams has to be the worst unit in the NFL. It’s amazing too because Green Bay has good depth, but they can’t quite figure it out on any phase of this unit. Their kickoff, kickoff coverage, punt return, and punt coverage units were absolutely horrible. But, hey, at least their field goal operation was solid!
