The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears renew their historic rivalry for the second time this season when the two teams line up against one another on Sunday Night Football.

The Packers have dominated since the 1990s when Brett Favre took over as quarterback and that has continued into Aaron Rodgers’ reign. Rodgers is 22-5 against Chicago and is coming off a game where he told the Chicago fans he owns them.

The Bears haven’t forgotten that and are taking it to heart when in this nationally televised rematch. Fortunately for the Packers, they’ll be able to notch another victory in their belt due to these three reasons.

With the Green Bay Packers hosting the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field on Sunday Night Football, here’s three reasons why the home team will win.

Reasons why Packers will beat Bears: Protecting the rock

Green Bay has been great at protecting the football since Matt LaFleur took over as head coach. Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history when it comes to failing to turn the ball over and is extremely good in that department. The rest of the team has focused on holding onto the rock as well.

The Packers have turned the ball over the fewest times this season–only 10 times–and that will be incredibly important as the weather continues turning. Meanwhile, Chicago has 19 giveaways this year. With rookie Justin Fields coming back into the starting lineup, this will be a big advantage for the Packers.
