Players that will determine Packers’ success: Chandon Sullivan

Speaking of the Buccaneers, Tom Brady and the Tampa offense picked on Chandon Sullivan (and Kevin King) in the NFC Championship game. Some of the other good teams have done the same.

Sullivan, the slot cornerback, has apparently been identified by opposing teams as the weak link in the Packers’ secondary and he’ll unquestionably be challenged the deeper the Packers get into the season and postseason. He isn’t the most naturally gifted cornerback, but has flashed some good skills throughout his career. Green Bay needs him to be at his best over the final five games of the regular season as they don’t have a better option to replace him (unless Jaire Alexander moves into the slot when he returns from injury). There’s no hiding him on the field and his only successful option is to step up.
