Ways Packers can run the table: Get healthy

Sometimes the best ability is availability.

That quote could definitely apply to this year’s Packers’ team, as the good health they’ve had in the last couple of years all appears to have come due in one season.

Green Bay has missed a number of key players this season for significant portions of the year. Guys like Jaire Alexander, Za’Darius Smith and David Bakhtiari have been out for a while or all season. While others like Elgton Jenkins, Josh Myers, Robert Tonyan, Kevin King and now Randall Cobb have all missed significant games.

Not everyone is on track to return–Jenkins and Tonyan are done for the year–but there is some optimism Green Bay could be getting a trio of All-Pros back in time for the playoffs. Alexander started practicing this week while Smith and Bakhtiari will hopefully be joining him in the next few weeks. If they can get those guys back at full strength while also keeping other guys healthy, that could be a game-changer in the NFL.
