Normally, the Green Bay Packers would never do anything as crazy as adding a veteran free agent during the middle of the season, but 2021 is far from ordinary.

Green Bay is all in as they have no idea what will happen in the offseason and have proven they’ll do anything to win the Super Bowl this season. That’s already included adding a few key free agents in-season. Could they do it again? It’s anybody’s guess so let’s try to get ahead of the game and peep five free agents they should look into during the bye week.

If the Green Bay Packers want to make a final addition for a late-season run, they should look into these five free agents during their bye.

Free agents Packers should look into: David DeCastro, OG

The Packers’ offensive line has been dealt a number of injuries this season and the interior has suffered the most as a result. They’re currently starting Jon Runyan Jr., Lucas Patrick and Royce Newman from left to right.

They could definitely benefit from another veteran presence and a possible upgrade to help Aaron Rodgers step up in the pocket when he needs to. David DeCastro has played his entire career at right guard for the Pittsburgh Steelers, earning six straight Pro Bowl appearances and two All-Pro selections in that time. He’d be a great addition and replacement for Newman–the weakest part of the Packers’ line.
