Packers who have exceeded expectations: De’Vondre Campbell

The Packers signed inside linebacker De’Vondre Campbell late in the summer as a last-minute option and it wasn’t even clear if he’d start or not. At the time, Green Bay was eyeing a pair of second-year pros in Kamal Martin and Krys Barnes to man the position.

Fortunately, Campbell separated himself from the duo almost immediately, earning the starting spot and allowing Green Bay to part with the erratic Martin. Now he’s shining in the role.

PFF has him rated as their top inside linebacker with an 81.2 overall grade. He’s been great against the run and pass alike and is everything Grene Bay could’ve imagined and more when they signed him.
